30 September 2012 : Putting the lava in Balaclava…

Phew… first week of recording done! It was such a great experience to work with Cam Trewin (engineer) and the Woodstock crew. The session musos, Ed Crocker (drums) and Tom Pettit (bass) from Melbourne band Saskwatch, were phenomenal. Such a privilege and a pleasure to play with and learn from them. So many long, long days (10am to 10 or 11pm most nights), my saviour was the generic but tasty noodle place just around the corner. I lost count of how many char kway teows and strawberry Big Ms I had to keep me going. Oh, as well as all the cocaine, dope and hookers, of course. Just a few more percussion and vocal parts to record before mixing in the next session in October! Can’t wait.
