28 November 2012 : Putting the band back together

So unfortunately Freddie McLennan has had to say good-bye and farewell to Jonno and Ben earlier this year, both got sucked into the Melbourne hole, no longer able to tolerate the fickle Canberran weather and political climate.

But on a more positive note, this means getting to audition new band members, which is simultaneously awesome and torturous. So without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to the newest members of the band to join Cam and Felix on the road to world domination: Pete Rozmus (lead guitar), Tim Godwin (drums) and Karina Menday (backing vocals/percussion).
Don’t underestimate Petey sweety. This guy knows his way around a fretboard like he knows his way around a plate of pierogi! This fine, outstanding son of Polish blood brings a sophistication and feeling to the lead end of the guitar line-up that is much needed and a delight to listen to.
Timmy G – the eager Nouveaucastrian; he’d already lined up an audition before he moved to Canberra. That’s how much this guy needs to play drums. It oozes from every ounce of his being. Never does he look so graceful and poised as when he’s shirtless behind his prized Sleishman kit.
And last, but by no means least, Lady Shaker K! She brings the sizzle to any bbq. Coming from a fine apprenticeship regularly rocking the socks off Alice Springs Bojangles crowds. Her mighty fine shaker and tambourine skills complement her smooth vocals to really round out the Freddie McLennan sound. Great to have you on board!
Anyway, we’re off to rehearse, see you early next year for the album launch!
